CRCS Sahara Refund Portal: All Details, eligibility, process, refund time

On Tuesday, Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, introduced the “CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal.”

The main purpose of this portal is to make it easier for people who have deposited money in four cooperative societies under the Sahara Group to get their money back. During the unveiling, Shah assured the depositors that their funds are now safe and they can expect to receive their refunds within 45 days after registering on the portal.

On March 29, 2023, the Supreme Court ordered the transfer of Rs. 5000 Crores from the “Sahara-SEBI Refund Account” to the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS). This transfer is intended to simplify the process for genuine depositors of the Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies to obtain their rightful dues, as the funds will be distributed accordingly.

  • a. Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Kolkata.
